A Word of Caution About Advertising Lawyers

Avoid Advertising Lawyers…and matching tattoos on a first date. Our practice is built on referrals, not advertising. Expecting great results from an advertising lawyer is like expecting luxury linens at a Motel 6. Advertising alone is not a reliable indicator of legal ability, experience, or results.

Catchy slogans and easy-to-remember phone numbers may be appealing, but they can also be misleading. Many heavily advertised firms are no longer run by the lawyers whose names appear on the signs. In some cases, the named attorney may be deceased, retired, or no longer practicing…Larry H. Parker and Jacoby and Myers.

What matters is not marketing. What matters is experience, credibility, and who will actually handle your case. Choose a lawyer who is known by judges, respected by peers, and trusted by former clients—not simply one you recognize from a billboard.

A $1,000,000 settlement may sound excellent if that is the true value of the case—but not if the case was worth $2,000,000, and was undervalued and settled short. In many situations, arbitration or mediation can provide a faster, more practical, and more cost-effective resolution.

You may think you do not need a lawyer—until you do… much like a placekicker in football. People do not plan to fail; they fail to plan. Save my number, 760-837-7500, next to your plumber and electrician for a rainy day, in case you or a friend ever needs legal guidance.

Before calling or signing anything, call for a Free | ACCIDENT | DUI | Strategy Consultation. Although my practice is limited primarily to Accident and DUI matters, I am often able to provide courtesy guidance and referrals to qualified attorneys in other fields. After more than 30 years in the Coachella Valley legal community, I have developed relationships with many highly respected lawyers throughout Southern California. I am always happy to provide courtesy guidance or referrals.

New cases are limited to three per month, and Gribow personally handles all calls—never a secretary or receptionist. Because our practice is intentionally selective, Dale personally handles all consultations.
